You booked the three legs for 25,000 miles. If you had booked only the first two legs you would have had to use 25,000 miles anyway; that is the minimum cost of a domestic award ticket. If DL has to cancel the third leg after you have flown the first two legs, you have still flown a round trip award ticket. I don't see any reason they would refund the miles.
