Air Canada and Onex Extend Aeroplan Sale Date to April 30, 2003

MONTREAL, March 11 /CNW Telbec/ - Air Canada announced today that, at Onex's
request, it has agreed to extend the deadline by which closing is to occur
to April 30, 2003.
Onex continues to be actively engaged in its due diligence efforts and,
while it has completed its review of many significant areas of due
diligence, additional time is required for it to complete its review of the
remaining items.

Aeroplan, Air Canada and Onex are also advancing completion of final
documentation.
