Gran Canaria certainly has the bars that attract the more mature / bear type as well as many other kind of bars. If you are looking for Spanish men, this is not the place to go as it is mostly Northern European tourists. When returning to the United States, I had to transfer and spend one night in Madrid. I had more fun in Madrid in one night than I did in 10 nights in Gran Canaria. I've heard that the crowds in Grad Canaria have gone down considerably. Maybe someone who has been there the last few months could address this

Buenos Aires is great! Great food, hotels, clubs, Evita! However, if you are into more mature/bear types, I'm not sure that Buenos Aires is the spot for you. They are e x t re m e l y vain (one of the highest rates of plastic surgery in the world) and bears are generally not appreciated. I believe that there is only one (very fun) mature gay bar in Buenos Aires called Contrenos(spelling?) Parties in BA tend to be the circuit set. It is a great fascinating city.
