First of all thanks for the invaluable resources on this site! I'm a Platinum and am planning my trip here in mid-June. My question is what level of room should I book with the hopes of being upgraded to a suite? Is it pretty typical for them to upgrade (if they do) to the next level? So based on the room listing I should book an "ocean-facing view"? Also, worth it to book with points AND the cash upgrade NOW or just wait?? Traveling with someone who hasn't been to HI before so I'm trying look impressive thanks for the help!!
