I sat in a pre-production '14 Impala at the local auto show and took a quick video of the fancy motorized screen (Link) that hides a storage compartment.

I'd hate to use it in a rental, though...I'd be the one that thinks he's so smart hiding his phone there and then forgetting it when I return the vehicle.

First impression -- I thought the interior was, obviously, a huge step up from the previous gen. However, I didn't think it was noticeably better than the '13 Avalon or even the '13 Taurus. There seemed to be a variety of textures and finishes, but that might have been a result of the pre-production nature of the vehicle.
