Maybe related to the switchover from 762 (and the lonely 763) to the 321, or maybe it's an unintentional bug, but from 01JAN14 you really can't buy decently priced tickets on AA on the LAX/SFO-JFK route as they have zero availability on all flights on all days in classes A/D/I/V/G/S/N/Q/O.

At the moment AA flights for SFO-JFK roundtrip over the XMas holidays price at $740 instead of $401 of UA; AA matches UA's fare, but the required Q class is zeroed out. Similarly in business class, where AA is $5,046 vs. UA's $3,814, all driven by the lack of "I" class on the return.

I bet that it's a mistake and hopefully somebody at AA will see this, look into it, and fix it.
