Annual fee on chase united mileage plus came due yesterday, 4/1. Called in march and was offered 5000 miles to keep it open. Took the offer but decided to cancel anyway. Today I called and was initially offered a downgrade to a no annual fee card that earned 1 mile per $2. Called back 5 minutes later and was offered $100 statement credit. Sweet!
