Thumbs down Smoking on TG - appalling and disgusting - the problem starts again

No, I am not talking about the Thai crown prince who is known for smoking on TG flights, but about regular TG 970 from BKK to ZRH on 2 April 2013.

The smoke from the cockpit was unbearable for those sitting in F as reported by a non FTalker but reliable friend of mine.

I thought the problem has been resolved after I complained a couple of times five or six years ago as I never ever heard back from such occurences. (Admittedly I stopped flying TG and prefer Air Asia regionally and LX / SQ C longhaul).

It might be the Asian culture of being unable to make senior crew members respect directives and customers requests. My friend complained but obviously the FA's were too shy to tell the concerned people.

There are ongoing threads of preferreing C of SQ or LX to F on TG. And as experience here shows, F is not always F if not for the mileage earning potential and (relatively) cheap TG fares.

A big to TG, especially to their addicted flight deck crews

P.S.: This is not an April fools, mine is posted on the *alliance forum regarding A3 gold cards - more funny.
