We've had some group lunches at Sunrise Tacos (original location) and my meals have not been edible. When it first opened years ago, and was one of the only options, it was OK.
Obviously decent foreign cuisine is not a huge draw for tourists, but for us locals we look for anything close.
As mentioned, La Monita, continues to get good reviews.
Interesting. Their menu photos look nothing like Chevys/Tex-Mex. At any rate, I cant see myself eating there as I can eat world class Mexican food any time at home in CA. I never tire of Thai food in Thailand. If I did, a shawarma (best I've ever had by far) from the guy on soi Nana would straighten me right out.
