Missed connection, sleep at the airport or a hotel?
What caused his delay? If its the airlines fault, they should put him up in a hotel.

Honestly, when I was 22 I wouldn't think twice about sleeping in the airport but these days I would get a hotel 100% of the time. (After several delayed flights last year I invested in a travel insurance policy- which I haven't had to use once since I purchased it. Go figure. It does cover a hotel and incidentals for a missed connection or cancelled flight, due to weather, ATC, or other issues outside an airlines control.)
