My brother reports that his flight was delayed for a few hours and he will be stranded this evening in Saint Louis because the connecting flight to his final destination will leave 45 minutes before his delayed flight arrives and there are no more flights to his final destination this evening. (He researched all possibilities on his Smart Phone.)

Now he has to decide what to do:

OPTION 1) Camp out in the Saint Louis airport for about 12 hours and try to sleep on the floor until the next connecting flight to his final destination (home) which leaves the next morning at about 10 AM

OR

OPTION 2) Once he arrives in Saint Louis later this evening, take a cab to the closest airport hotel and spend about $100 for a room

What would you do? If the airlines would not provide a hotel room due to the delay at what price point would you not pay for a hotel and instead try to sleep at the Airport for the 12 hours?
