Fort the DM + 1 with no status reservation: I thought that a companion without status pulls the entire reservation down below all other medallions? Unless what OP states is true...if miles WL now takes priority over medallion upgrades... this would be a major change in policy. It would certainly be welcome by GM's like me who have such a hard time upgrading on certain routes. It would also be in line with what seems like Delta's desire to shed some miles from accounts. It also encourages people to buy upgradeable fares. True, Delta would rather have the 2.5 K for the seat. But I imagine they would also rather have $650 instead of $350. I'd really like clarification on this detail if we can get it.
