Sounds like they are making an already painful airport even more brutal. T3 had so much promise and it's turned out to be such a dump. How they can't get it to at least Hongqiao levels of quality baffles me. With so many nice airports in Asia I'm always amazed that airports in China, especially the 3 main international gateways, are so new and yet so poor. I can only conclude that someone well placed is benefiting from the current situation and would lose out if things improved by bringing in competent management and concessionaires.
