If you're a new driver and don't know how to wait for traffic and not block the box your best bet is to take the bus. The 114 from PABT should get you to Union NJ in about half an hour.
The easiest alternative (as in signed) is really to take the QMT, the Lincoln and then the Garden State Parkway.
