Really, really sorry if this question has already been asked but I am struggling to see reward seat availability using the BA website. I have a companion voucher which I would like to use during the school holidays...either May or summer, first or business. Does anyone have an easy way to see what is available?

Also do more seats get released nearer the time, and if so is there a time window that they normally use. I.e if seats haven't been released by a certain date, they won't be? Do avios.com have different availability to the ba website?

Any other tips regarding getting a reward seat would be much appreciated? Or if you want to simply point me at another thread, then that's ok too.
