The dilemma for me yesterday was whether to go and see the fly over or head out to Bondi to compete in the Bluewater ocean swim. As I had not done a Bondi swim this summer, I decided on the latter - thinking I would see coverage of the fly over on the news. Imagine my absolute delight when 1/3 into the race, I turned at the Southern most buoy just off Mackenzies Point to begin the longest leg of the race back up to North Bondi only to see the two big birds flying low and in formation above the Bondi skyline. I was so excited I had to stop, take my goggles off and savour the moment! I exclusively breathe on the left - thankfully the swim was swum in an anti clockwise direction so I got to see the spectacle.
