I am the OP. And my sample size is more than a dozen flights in the past three months. I gave some examples of inconsistencies in my first post, and Kiwi Flyer has given evidence of some experience that doesn't fit the rule of "night flight only" on his flights as well. SO the conclusion is that it is inconsistent. Mistakes do happen, but that would mean that the experience is the same 11 times out of 12 and the 12th time it is different. But I have seen all kinds of combinations of things being offered, only one being offered but not the other, things being available upon request, things not being available upon request... that's not a mistake, that is inconsistency.

Some clarification from EK would be great, I'll ask them the question.
