I am very fond of "Love Scene" restaurant on Sukhumvit Soi 23. Thai food, Isaan-style. Best way to do it is go with two or three friends, order a variety of things, and do family-style. Great fun, VERY good food.

For Tex-Mex, Charley Brown's off Sukhumvit Soi 11, near Cheap Charlie's is very, very good. Be warned: their margaritas are POTENT! (If you do two, PACE YOURSELF! The second one will hit HARD if you don't.)
Interesting but strange locations...

Love Scene is just at the exit of Soi Cowboy and normally I would never even think of trying food in that street. I'll give it a look and maybe a try the next days, when I'm around Asoke.

Charley Brown's: Soi 11 is another notorious red light district and the food around there usually overpriced and rarely acceding average (if even that). Hmm, maybe worth a try before heading to Bed Supperclub next friday...
