IHG BRG is to my mind abused by those who only book single nights on BRG rates, and there will be some people who never ever pay to stay at PCR hotel, only staying if they can bag free night. This is what will kill the BRG offer.

I never book hotel nights on basis of BRG, I book my rooms, and occaisionally if I have loads of spare time do some searching for sites that could led to a free first night under BRG.

If claims were for multiple night stays, it would be more palatable to hotels as to give one night away free of four night stay, is like 25% off, they no doubt give similar as a discount on best corporate company rates anyway.
