I stayed there last month using axon. We did not get over water villa. But we like the villa on the hill which have splendid view. We also stay in intercontinental thalasso. I do not think there is big difference compared to hilton. Four season and st. regis should be better in terms of price. But I like the value of axon. But it is gone forever.
I was at the Thalasso last May after staying at the Hilton the previous year. I think that the St. Regis and Four Seasons are in a higher class compared to Thalasso, with the Hilton right under Thalasso. The villa was very large and nicer than the Hilton's (we had a Diamond Otemanu Villa), but there were lots of little service and maintenance issues. We actually enjoyed our stay at the Hilton more, partly due to the fact that the snorkeling there was much better. We managed to get a really good deal at the Hilton for the Deluxe Overwater Villa, so the room rate was probably only a bit more than half that of the Thalasso's.
