In fairness to Rimowa, this damage resulted from one traumatic off-loading in an extremely cold environment but it was still disappointing.

Both my polycarbonate Rimowa bag and that of my spouses' Rimowa bag both got cracks about 6 months after purchase (travel 2-3x a week every week). However the wheels are awesome. So we replaced them with the aluminum cases and so far so good (2 months only so far). They get banged up but look AWESOME. I've received a number of compliments on mine. Per another post, I travel everywhere (LGA DTW GRR MSP OMA ORD MDW LAX DCA MIA YUL LHR etc) and don't care if they look expensive. Hasn't been a problem.
