I don't think anyone is asking you to do that, please point out a post that is asking you to. It sounds like your expectation are WAY too high in this age of travel domestically. So until you lower your expectation then you are going to be let down its that simple. If DL or any other airline would stop the free upgrades and CHARGE for FC then you will continue to get the meals you get now, this is fact. If the airlines charge for FC then the catering should reflect that... So the big question is, would you pay for FC if the fare was 4K LAX-JFK and the meals were that of a 5 star place...
