You should get great service as a top elite in any chain. But your comparison to JW's and PH's is not true at all. IC's are generally nicer than JW's and at least level with most PH's. I just stayed at the JW LA and it was nowhere near the quality of any European IC, with much less benefits when you compare IC RA with Marriott Platinum.
