I'm not thinking about cost. I'm thinking about convenience & hassle.
Perhaps it takes a few irrops with young kids before you can understand this (or perhaps I'm oversensitive and just need to man-up - a 3 day overland journey across Europe with 100kgs of bags and 3 kids under 4 is a breeze, right???) but price isn't key in my considerations.
