This is the same problem I had. These are the ticket numbers I presume Cathay and Dragonair use for their tickets. You won't get one of these, and you will just have a BA 125- ticket number.

The Cathay PNR I found on checkmytrip for my ticket was exactly the same as the 6 charatcer one given on the ba.com issued ticket. Some airlines do allocate a different PNR to the one given on your ba booked reward ticket- like Malaysia who use a 5 character PNR.
