chornedsnorkack, thank you - I do know about the trains and took them before when I had more convenient schedule, and that I probably won't have to wait too long for one with seats. But if I calculate the time of metro transfers in both cities, the highspeed train itself, and the waiting time for the train, I easily reach 4-5 hours - which is not more than a bus takes for the distance (of about 350km) if there is direct service from PVG airport to Nanjing (downtown or anywhere in the city area) I could take about the same time of travel, but it would be probably cheaper as well as easier (not having to change, queuing for tickets, just sitting it all out in one bus)
