Hongqiao - Nanjing - 18 G trains daily
Shanghai - Nanjing - 37 G trains daily.

Is it easier to travel PVG-Hongqiao or PVG-Shanghai?

Trip time Shanghai-Nanjing on G varies from 1:19 to 2:09. Hongqiao-Nanjing from 1:39 to 2:05.
