Write to UA, explain your experience in a calm and reasonable manner, just state the facts, use spell-check and you will get compensation.

ITA. Keep the language calm and factual. You had an unpleasant experience. IME, it's always a good idea to point out the things that went well: did the FC go out of their way to assist you in some way during the flight (during a "normal" fight, as a wheelchair user, I make it a point to praise good FC to the airline, and if you are going to complain, it helps to point out the things that the airline did properly).
