OK, just booked an easter ticket very last minute.
Want to go to Nanjing (Xinjiekou), arriving in PVG at 6.30am on Sunday morning (31st March) - departing from PVG Monday at 1.15pm.
I know that I could just get to SHA (respective the high speed station next to it) by metro, bus, taxi, and from there take the train..
However I was thinking: PVG to SHA takes quite some time by metro or bus (and even by taxi) - the highspeed train might be quick, but then when I arrive there, I still need to get a ticket, wait for next train, and in Nanjing will probably arrive Nanjing South, which means another metro trip towards the center.
Is there any other, affordable way? Like direct buses PVG -> Nanjing? I assume they would take about 5 hours or so, which would not be slower than Metro Shanghai -> Buying Ticket&Waiting for Highspeed -> Highspeed -> Metro Nanjing ?
Anyone knows about this? Tried some google'ing but seems there isn't anything reliable about it. Any help appreciated
Also for the way back - but there, the train might be the better choice (easier to time arrival in Nanjing South/Be able to buy tickets the day before, a metro from SHA to PVG every couple minutes etc.)
