Ottawa ot Geneva - best route via Star Alliance Airlines only

I will be going on a business trip to Geneva, from Ottawa, in mid-April. I wish to make it the most pleasant trip (ie minimum flying time, minimum connections, best stopover in lounges and airports, access to a lounge with shower facilities, after the transatlantic flight). The only constraint is that, for the purpose of obtaining maximal Q miles, I wish to fly on Star Alliance Airlines only.

I have looked at ITN, and at the Austrian Airlines web site (which has an advantage of over the AC website, in which it allows you to ask for routings using either Austrian Airlines only, or Star Alliance airlines (with or without Austrian Airlines!)).

Options include routings via Toronto or Montreal on Austrian Airlines (via Vienna), or Lufthansa (via Frankfurt or Munich for those AC flights departing Toronto), or a direct flight to LHR (from YOW on AC) - with 2 further connecting flights on either Lufthansa or Austrian.

I would greatly appreciate and be thankful for help in this matter, based on your personal experiences.

PS-I did not labouriously go over the websites - but it looks like Austrian flies to and from YYZ and YUL only certain days of the week - it is quite possible that the days I have to fly, are the days that this airline does not fly on these routes.
