I have a flight booked YYZ-YUL-YVR-SFO to maximize the miles I earn. If on the day of travel, R/J space looks bad, can I do something like fly the YYZ-YUL segment, then pay for a same day change to go YUL-YYZ-SFO, or are they going to say no because the overall route isn't valid?
