As part of a EWR-IST itinerary I book on UA in the fall, I had a FRA-IST flight on LH that according to ua.com was in T class and not mileage earning. When I looked up the flight on the LH website after making the reservation, it was listed as an S class ticket, which would earn miles. Sure enough, my LH printed boarding pass for the flight confirmed this and I did end up earning miles for the flight.
