Hi all, I'm a Singaporean moving to the UK to study full-time this year and will be flying between BHX and SIN at least twice a year, sometimes from LHR instead, so I would probably be flying on LX, TK, LH or SQ with somewhat flexible tickets.

I'm leaning towards Miles & More because I'll be flying NH SIN-NRT-LAX and SFO-NRT-SIN this year in discount Y and M&M seems to be the only program earning 100% miles for that itinerary (Krisflyer, Miles & Smiles, etc. giving 70%).
I'm hoping to be able to redeem flights within Europe easily for short trips during term breaks.

Is there anything about M&M I should know that might deter me (I've come across the phrase "Miles & Less")? I noticed people recommending TK's programme quite a bit but I'm not sure why specifically.
