No. As 5k stated, it's more efficient for you to stay on the East side of town.
The area around Tokyo station is good can be but somewhat expensive. I see that you're staying at a Sunroute. There's a Sunroute in Shinbashi which would be similarly priced to the one in Shinjuku ...
Plan C would be to take the Keisei Skyliner to Ueno and stay there. In terms of transit time and cost it's one of the cheaper options and certainly the quickest option. The area can be a bit gritty but it's safe and quite interesting.
