Concorde was just sublime as others had said. It was indeed noisy but who cared - it was special and exciting and the whole experience was wonderful - the ground staff and crew all made a real effort and fuss if you were on the flagship of the fleet. It was the whole thing - the silver coloured boarding pass, boarding through the lounge - caviar and champagne - hold luggage delivered within 8 minutes of landing - you wanted for nothing.
I only flew her once on a LHR-JFK round trip. If she ever came back I would clamour at the door to get back on her - she just had the ability to rekindle that golden age of travel where it was a real priviledge and treat.
From what I recall the rear cabin was noisier than the front but it is of course 10 years ago now........ If I could go again I would happily sit in row 25 A/B next to the loos if that was all that was left....
