Look where the nanny states in Europe have brought us (tax prosecution) and Australia would be next if not for your natural resources you are blesed with and which happily for your make things a little bit easier.

I think best is that everybody looks for her/himself and does no too much rely on more or less efficient administrations.

I agree. If you think it benefits you, go for it. If you can't imagine the benefit, then by all means abstain. The risk is low but real that this information will be used against you at some point.
