Dont forget that children get discounted revenue tickets. So if you were using a combination of miles tickets and revenue tickets, then make sure you use mile for the adults and revenue for the kids (as opposed to your combination in example 1).
Please can you explain what you mean? What combination will be better? I understand kids under 2 only pay 10% while other kids pay the same miles as adults.
