According to LH CFO Simone Menne (reported by Bloomberg) LH Group considers to set up a LCC for traffic to India and South East Asia in order to compete with Emirates en Etihad. Last year LH had to cancel already Calcutta, Hyderabad and Jakarta due to competition of the Golf carriers. Solutions can be a JV or using LH Group metal.
I thought that the Golf carriers compete on quality/price ratio and not on low cost??
I miss the point. It looks more like what Norwegian is going to do.
