When you ask EXP desk: where do i email or fax contagious note, then they will listen.

AA may or may not waive rules for sick baby. Infectious baby- different story, because then they have accepted liability.

VERY IMPORTANT- EXP desk quality has gone down. If they sound slow when they 1st answer- hang up and redial. May take a few tries.
Bad advice for the following reasons:

1. The doctor should detail an accurate medical diagnosis and not make something up and the parent shouldn't suggest something that may be false.

2. You'll most likely be prohibited from flying until this "contagious disease" has run its course.

3. Honesty is better than trying to make something up.

Get a medical evaluation, follow the doctor's suggestion, tell the agent the true story and ask what your options are.
