I'm looking for the best hotel in Niagara Falls, considering a bunch of factors. (Yes, I know "best" can have different connotations, and I know that "best" is in the eyes of the beholder. I'm looking for best based on what I'm about to say!)
- Decent view of the falls. In this regard, I have no preference between Horseshoe Falls and American/Bridal Falls. I prefer though that it has a decent view of one as opposed to an OK view of both. (If there's a hotel with rooms with a decent view of both, great. Otherwise, I'll stick with a view of just one.)
- Price - I'm staying 2 nights in the middle of the week in June. Not looking for the fanciest of suites. Prefer paying no more than $150/night. (Require a room with at least 2 beds.)
- Amenities: Would like a decent hotel, that's not a "Shutter Eye Motel - Dayrooms available." Free breakfast and WiFi are nice, but not dealbreakers. Nice TVs. Fridge a plus.
- Location - want a centrally located hotel that's easily walkable to places like the boardwalk, the falls, and the Sheraton Four Points (they have a Kosher restaurant there).
I have no specific hotel brand loyalty.
As of now, I'm booked in a 2-queen bed US Fallsview room at the DoubleTree. Total price is $300 (CAD), and reviews indicate it's a nice hotel and website shows free WiFi, though no breakfast.
Any comments regarding the DoubleTree specifically or whether there's a better hotel out there?
Thanks so much in advance! (Sorry if there's an existing thread out there - I tried a search but FT search showed up no true results and Google showed very old threads, that weren't fully connected.)
