Bangkok ibis Riverside?

Hey all,

So for a quick side trip from SGN, I'm looking at doing BKK for a few days. While I'm a heavy milieage runner, I don't ever do mattress runs, preferring to do the hotel equivalent of kayaking. I'm not even seeking luxury, since I'm planning on spending minimal time in the room except for sleeping.

I stumbled up on the ibis Riverside, and for $44USD/night, it looks to be a great value: clean, decent rooms, waterfront, full sized pool.

Does anyone have experience with this property?
Can you walk along the riverside from the hotel?
Is the area around the hotel worth exploring on foot?
Do any ferries/water taxis/water buses stop at/near this hotel?
Would you have another property you'd recommend that's similar to this ibis?

Thanks.
