Frankly, the state of the press in this country has been rather bad for some time. As for the DM, my main gripe is that most of what they write is factually wrong, which seems to rather defeat the purpose of reading a paper.

The Times went downhill long ago; I don't think I could put up with either the Torygraph or the Grauniad either however - so I carry my Independent on my Kindle with me.
