I haven't read all, but in addition to what I have read, lack of soft bedside lights is a major peeve for me. What designer thought a guest would like to relax reading in bed with two bright spotlights beaming down from the ceiling as his only light?
Distressingly, it has become more prevalent recently. Maybe they think people just don't read any more.
Anyway, I've bought a clip-on light for my Kindle as a result of this trend.
All I want really:
*bedside reading light
*accessible power sockets
*reliable internet
*decent hot water pressure
I've given up on using hotel desks - too many back problems. I lie on the bed with the laptop now.
Nice to have:
*Inside elevator/lift buttons that a middle-aged person can read without stooping and donning reading glasses. This is a problem in all big buildings these days.
*similarly readable indication of what direction of what handle in the shower will make hotter or colder.
