I haved just purchased a UuA open-jaw ticket CAI-JFK-TLV (upgrading to CW on both the outbound and inbound sectors). MMB tells me that I will be earning 340 tier points (not 360) for the trip and 24,915 avios. The upgrade cost me 38,500 avios.
Deconstructing this information as best I can (and assuming MMB is correct in the first place -- it isn't always), it seems as though:
- LHR-TLV UuA is based on flexible WT (rather than WT+), earning 70 tier points (rather than 90) and no avios cabin bonus.
- CAI-LHR UuA is based on WT+, earning 90 tier points and a 25% avios cabin bonus.
The inconsistency is puzzling. Does anybody know exactly how UuA works on these routes after the switch to the A321? Prior to the switch, each of these routes would have yielded 90 tier points and a 25% cabin bonus.
Also, I can't figure out how the upgrade cost of 38,500 avios was calculated. Before the switch to the A321s, the cost for a WT+ to CW upgrade on such a ticket was 32,500 avios (if I remember right).
