I once took a NEX commuter (the last one) when a flight from Europe arrived early. It really sucked. Added 20 min to my trip to Shibuya (yeah, it was a bit late too). Should have taken the bus.......

This train was very empty; I guess not many flights arrive in time for this train. I arrived on the Swiss flight from ZRH and it was maybe 30 min early.

Anyway, 3 commuters got on my car at Narita but I think they all got off at Chiba or the other stop. That's my anecdote. I was amused by the woman in front of me to the side who spent the entire ride doing her make-up.

I don't really think that anyone would live in Narita and commute all the way to Tokyo. That would be nuts. Oh yeah, I think one guy got on at Chiba and traveled to Tokyo.
