So you are already connecting through AMS? Are you on the 4PM or 6PM departure to AMS? If you are on the 4PM, you could still catch the 6PM departure to AMS to connect to your FLR flight. Otherwise, there is a 9:35PM DTW-CDG flight on Air France that can get you to FLR at 3:10PM. There's also a late flight from AMS to FLR that you catch via one of the later DTW-AMS flights, but it would require a long layover in AMS. In short, there are quite a few options that can still get you to FLR on the same day.
