Most of us here could easily make a connection of less than an hour at Detroit - but it's not allowing ANY room for error, delays or comfort. As you say, you're elderly, so I'm assuming that you don't move very fast - this connection may be problematic, as, in theory, they could deny you boarding your int'l flight if you arrive at the gate less than 30 minutes before the departure time.

I think a call to Delta could fix this, especially if you explain your situation. Would you consider posting your current routing & times so that we may make suggestions as to some alternate routings? When you call Delta, it's much easier if you're prepared with some possible new routings that you like.

Also - the SkyClub - - Even though I think the main Club in the center of Concourse A is one of the flagship Clubs in the chain, I certainly would NOT want to spend 10 hours there - - THEN fly overseas! Good LORD!
