As some of you know, we are making a trip to Italy soon.

Our flight goes from Las Vegas to Detroit and then overseas. Got a notice today that our flight from Vegas to DTW leaves later now and we'll have less than an hour to catch our connection.
Since we are elderly, I worried about the arrival time and time to catch connection. I doubt they hold a flight for us and doubt they have overseas flights every hour for our destination.
The airport looks very big so got us worrying.

First, are we worrying too much here? Would you all be comfy with that little of time between connection? Should we consider changing our flight and that brings up another question.
My husband found a flight that leaves at almost midnight and would get us in to DTW about 7am. That would give us about 10 hours till our connection and definitely no worries about making that connection.
The thought crossed our heads of doing that midnight flight, getting one day passes for the sky club and my husband saw they have showers too which would be very nice. We could also spend the day relaxing/napping in the sky club.
So, help us out gang. Everything was just fine until we got this notice about time change and now it's all I'm thinking about. Missing that flight would be devastating or what if our luggage didn't make it and we did, OH MY.

I need some help from you all. I apologize if my issues seem silly but appreciate all the help we can get.
