Interesting to see such support for Emirates. They just had a 2 for 1 offer here in Melbourne. $A777 got you two return tickets Melbourne to Singapore - an awesome price. If I wasn't going to NZ already I woudl have jumped at the offer. I have only heard good things about Emirates from my friends. I'm a bit lost on the pottery bit.

Perhaps an Emirates representative reading this post will feel inclined to give me a couple of free tickets Melbourne to Dubai return. I've already failed with Cathay so may as well have a dip with Emirates!

Actually there are a couple of interesting reason why I'd like to fly Emirates. 1. To see whether their air hostesses do in fact wear veils a la I Dream of Genie 2. To find out more about this free pottery and 3. To see whether the service in Economy is really as good as everyone keeps telling me. My friends reckon you get your own video screen on which you can see takeoff and landing!
