It isn't just domestic to longhaul connections that seem to confuse staff. In the CCR of all places I was told last month that I was not entitled to a guest when flying CW despite the rules for CCR cardholders changing over a year ago. My polite insistence that the agent was wrong became far less polite as a parade of additional staff joined in the chorus (at the original agents request) saying that I was wrong

When the agent finally deigned to check their access rules (only after summoning 4 other staff who confirmed the same mistaken "rules") and they realised they were indexing and that I was indeed right I did not even get so much as an apology.

It is about time BA made lounge access rules numpty proof with a simple yes/no on whether a passenger is allowed and if guests are allowed how many guests showing clearly on the lounge agents screens. It wouldnt be a bad idea for boarding passes to show CCR access rights too.
